Acoustic device for singer Ilhem
The Dôme is designed as a portative anechoic chamber.
Two handles enable the singer to place it above a subject whom she has approached. The inner surface is covered with soft acoustic foam and isolates the users from the sound of the environment they are in. The mirrored surface, reflects the public's sights and asserts the feel of isolation.
In this sensory shelter Ilhem gives 'private concerts': improvisations expressing what she feels from the chosen person through her voice.
